My name is Laura Landrum, and I have 15 years of experience as a designer of beaded jewelry. In fact, I started doing this so long ago that I really don't remember what got me started. But that doesn't change the fact that I love what I do, and continue to work hard to hone my craft.
I'm most inspired by Fifties and early Sixties aesthetics and design. My latest designs center a lot around beaded beads and weaving complex patterns around different beads. I've been published four times by Bead and Button (two magazine issues and two books), and once by Beadwork Magazine.
My sister and primary accomplice, Cheryl, got started with me at about the same time and probably for the same forgotten reason. She likes to stick to the design aesthetic of the Thirties and Forties, and even older, dipping into the Victorian era. She is also very experienced with repairing vintage pieces. We both like using vintage bits and parts in our designs.
We currently reside in Port Huron, Michigan, with our dog and more cats than we should admit to.
